In the latest installment of “what makes Sunnyvale special”, an Amazon.com survey revealed that the city with the most per capita purchasers of The Hunger Games is none other than Sunnyvale.

Possibly a short night, except for the lead-up.
We start the evening with two different closed sessions. The first involves ongoing labor negotiations with the Communication Officers Association. The second involves more Downtown stuff. Then it’s on to the general meeting.
Pretty brief night, all things considered. Sorry for the delay – work has been busy.
We started with a closed session involving Raynor Center reuse, but it ran long, so we continued it after the general meeting. Mayor Spitaleri was out sick, so it was just six of us, with Vice Mayor Whittum leading the meeting.
Looks like a relatively short night.
We start the evening with a closed session regarding the Raynor Activity Center. I know nothing more than what is in the public notice, but it looks to me like we will be discussing two bidders, AppleSeed Montessori and the German International School of Silicon Valley.
After that, we go to the main meeting. We open with recognizing the passing of Ted Ringel, a good guy who served on the Heritage Preservation Commission as well as the recent Charter Review Committee. He passed away in January.
We have our summer commission recruitment coming up in April, and there are a large number of vacancies this time out, some with incumbents eligible for reappointment, but some not. If you want to get involved in what happens in Sunnyvale, I strongly urge you to consider applying to be a Commissioner or Boardmember.
