In light of yesterday’s court ruling, the City of Sunnyvale has issued a statement explaining the status of the Town Center and its position on the ongoing legal issues. Definitely worth reading.
It actually looks like Tuesday may be a simple night, but not necessarily a short one.
We start the evening with two closed sessions. The first involves ongoing labor negotiations with the Sunnyvale Employees Association (SEA). The second is our semi-annual performance evaluation for the City Manager. Then it’s on to the general meeting.
A quick thanks to everyone who attended my town hall today. It was extremely useful to hear what people are interested in (and what they’re not), and the various concerns on all of the different topics we covered. And it’s always just a lot of fun to do.
But if y’all could avoid quoting me on a couple of comments I made, I’d greatly appreciate it…
Another long night.
Might be a short night, for a change.
We start the evening with a study session involving a potentially large rezoning issue. There is a general plan amendment study to examine the possibility of rezoning a large quantity of industrial space in east Sunnyvale (near DeGuine, I believe) to residential, possibly high density residential. I haven’t seen the study yet, so I may have some of the details wrong.
