As Sunnyvale Mayor and Councilmember, I’ve spent years working towards our progressive goals. I championed the creation of Silicon Valley Clean Energy, which is now providing carbon-free energy to Santa Clara County, and I supported Sunnyvale switching to 100% renewable energy. I championed the regional effort for a $15 minimum wage, and Sunnyvale led the way by achieving that goal in 2015. And I’ve worked on our biggest challenge of late – to increase affordable housing in Sunnyvale, including the Onizuka Crossing, Edwina Benner Plaza, and Parkside Studios projects.
My time with the Sunnyvale City Council is over, but the work doesn’t end. We need to find the next generation of progressives to champion our issues, and we need to defend and promote those issues. California leads the nation on progressive issues, and more than ever, we need progressive change in this country.
Change starts here, and it’s the responsibility of ADEM to make it happen. And that’s why I’m a candidate for ADEM Delegate.
I’m endorsed by Assemblymember Marc Berman and Senator Jerry Hill, and I’m grateful for their support. But in the end, the only endorsement that matters is your vote. I want to be your ADEM Delegate, and I ask you for your vote.
